Shepherd Hill is nationally known for effective, confidential treatment of health care professionals. We work in cooperation with state licensing boards, associations and agencies to help health care professionals retain or regain professional licensing upon successful completion of our treatment program. Our services for health care professionals are comprehensive and tailored to individual needs.

 
Evaluation Services
 
Shepherd Hill offers a 72 hour residential evaluation to rule out addiction or to help the patient with diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
 
Components
  • Biopsychosocial history
  • History and physical exam
  • Assessment conducted by a certified addiction registered nurse
  • Behavioral/functional assessment
  • Urine drug and alcohol screening with blood/hair screening, if clinically indicated
  • Addiction professional screening and diagnostic assessment
  • Psychiatric assessment
  • Addiction medicine evaluation
  • Psychological testing (MMPI-2, Millon MCMI-III)
  • Education on addictive disease and recovery
  • Residential community involvement and therapy groups
  • Inclusion of third party collateral information
  • Multidisciplinary team conference with patient and referring agency
  • Comprehensive verbal and written report with treatment recommendations, if indicated, and fitness for return to practice
