We help patients recover from chemical dependency in a dignified manner using four simple treatment goals.   1. Education   Through lectures, study and tutoring, patients become experts on their own disease. We believe that education on the various aspects of addiction empowers the individual to make educated choices that will aid in successful treatment.   2. Self-diagnosis   Self-diagnosis is a necessary ingredient in the treatment program for one simple reason: people do not treat what they do not believe they have. We ask patients to determine whether they have addiction, based on the knowledge they have acquired through education.   3. Self-responsibility   We ask patients to gradually assume increasing levels of responsibility for their ongoing treatment. Each level of care offers new responsibilities.   4. Self-treatment   Throughout treatment, we teach patients how to utilize the AA program for continuing treatment of their life-long disease. Staff members assist patients in learning to apply these principles in their daily lives.
